I had heard about the sorceress Valriinora of Aedirn many times, for she is that kind of
woman a man never stops talking about. The young, beautiful, black-haired mage from
Aldersberg was compared only to Enid an Gleanna, or at least that's what rumors say.
Her intelligence, loyalty and beauty captured hearts and minds of many men, although she
always turned her suitors away, she was really a muse for many bards. The sad part in
Valriinora's tale is when her mother, the royal adviser Ahnriela van der Pelt, was
announced to have a relationship with a Scoia'tael commando, and therefore had to flee
Aedirn, bringing her child to Temeria. In Vizima Valriinora grew into into this beautiful
creature but she was ashamed when people mentioned it and so she often wore a hood to cover
her face. She and her mother lived happily until one day when Ahnriela was killed by a
striga as her daughter stood four feet away. Valriinora never recovered from the horrible
ordeal and a month later she packed a bag and left Vizima, without ever looking back..
What ever happened during those years is unknown for all but Valriinora herself, and she
was never heard of until after King Foltest's death, when she was found outside Flotsam in
the hands of the Scoia'tael commander, Iorveth. The rumor said that Iorveth kidnapped her
and would use her as a leverage against Loredo. Geralt and Zoltan immediately set out into
the woods to try and find this mythical woman, as well as Iorveth and the Kingslayer.
I was not there at the time, but I was told how Iorveth showed up at the meeting
place, amused that a witcher was after him. Geralt never had the chance to ask about the
rumor, but when Geralt met Iorveth at the Elven Ruins he noticed a hooded figure
standing by the elf, and he realized that the rumors were true. Or, so he thought.

tWR April Prompt: Tricksters
Rhamante perched on a curtain wrinkle. His eyes were wide and dark, his skin pewter grey. Delicate lacey wings hung from his shoulders like a small, gossamer cape. His tiny pixie body trembled with tension, mouth drawn tight, his fidgety hands temporarily stilled. Rhamante's attention was entirely fixed on the human occupants of the room. Two humans, caught in a web of passion and denial. These were the kind of moments he lived for. This dance of desires drew him to it. As a blossom to the bees, Rhamante was pulled toward the nectars of the heart. He promised himself he'd just observe, but he was finding that oath impossible to keep after watching the denizens of this place for days. It was just too delicious to pass up. *** William glanced around the sitting room, eyes going wide. "Miss Rawlings, I thought the governess would be here . . . the maid sent me straight up." The room was sunny and open, and empty but for him and the young woman smiling up at him from her

The edifice rises from chasmic horizons and, doing so, engineers chess on four levels which legions of lords could not overthrow; paradigm shifts are maintained in the overflow and so the president rises agape from her throne and her glittering fingernails point to the moon and the hovering moonspawn cry shrill in atonement and clinking gold whispers, “It's over too soon," and despicably Earth is a cosmic spittoon.

Needles.
My arms shake and I Can't breathe properly. "Even a child can stand this, what a baby." They're not in my mind, they don't understand why I fear needles. I grab my own hand I grip it tight and my mind crumbles. "It's not time for fight or flight. Now you must freeze." But my legs now, They're running. And my mouth now, It's screaming. The doctor tells me to be calm, I tell him I'm trying. Finally I'm just sitting, Biting my own hand. Closing my eyes so hard, Harder when I feel the metal cold Needle. I didn't even get a lollipop.

This is the introduction to my Witcher fanfiction.
I decided to describe my character as they do in-game, as if it was written by Dandelion.
I am working on chapter one so it my take a while since I will try to capture the atmosphere from the books.
Enjoy.

Love the intro, I hear Dandelion's voice in my head now as I read it.
